Hillside studio was set up by Katie  in November 2019.  Having worked in various arts organisations, developing workshops and events throughout Scotland., Katie’ s passion is to provide a space for others,  establishing a creative hub for the community.   Katie also hosts her own workshops in wreath making, art classes and bespoke birthday parties. 1 Hilllside Studio is a unique space with a relaxed feel where you can come and unwind at one of the classes or be part of an event. The Studio space can be hired for events, workshops and classes.

Frustrated by airlines hand luggage policies and unable to find a handbag that worked for business and pleasure, she set out to create her own bag. So for the next 3 years, whilst working full time, she learned how to design and produce handbags herself. Following an apprenticeship with the ex Creative Director of Mulberry, Sarah created the Dahlia, her ultimate travel companion.  Established in 2011 by Wendy  Gilmour,  www.thankfifi.com follow's Wendy's take on  fashion, style, travel and interiors.   Graduating with a  degree in Fine Art from Glasgow School of Art, Wendy went on to work as painter and art teacher and also worked in PR and marketing, meanwhile building her blog and loyal following (  in the days before Instagram had taken off).  Now, after  seven years Wendy has quit the day job to work full time on her blog. Thank Fi Fi  is now a brand in its own right, hear Wendy's story here....

Today on the Palompo PR Podcast, I’m delving in to the life of Rebecca McEwen from Arnprior Farm – it's not a common career path but Rebecca gave up a career in TV and film to become known as Scotland's pumpkin queen. She trained as a props buyer and worked on productions such as Monarch of the Glen, River City and Peter Mullan's Neds. But when she married a farmer, she threw herself into making a success of her new life and set about making farming fun for her and her three children. Rebecca and her husband wanted to modernise the way things were done at Arnprior Farm and they started with the humble pumpkin seed back in 2015.
